Affiliate disclosure (FTC)
Cover This Pet may earn a commission if you follow a carrier quote link and later buy a policy. That commission does not raise the price the carrier charges you.
It can affect which carriers we have time to research. That is why we list six of the most-quoted US brands, not every brand on the market.
Quote buttons currently go to official public signup URLs. They include data-affiliate="pending" and data-carrier so affiliate links can be swapped in later without rewriting the page.
Not an insurer, not a broker
- Cover This Pet is a publishing website
- Not an insurance company
- Not a broker
- We do not sell insurance, collect premiums, or handle claims
Not insurance advice
Nothing on this site is insurance advice, legal advice, or vet advice.
Coverage follows the policy issued in your state, including waiting periods and exclusions. If our copy disagrees with a policy, the policy wins.
Accuracy
Carrier rules change. The shared carrier facts come from official public pages fetched on 30 August 2026. Each guide lists its own sources at the bottom.
Waiting periods, age limits, and premiums can go stale. Check the quote form.
We do not promise that any problem already in the record is covered unless a current public carrier page we actually fetched says so. None of the pages in this version said a documented ACL tear would be covered.
