Hi, I'm Bradley Jacobs. I run Cover This Pet. I'm based in the Austin and San Antonio area of Texas.
I started this site because the hard questions are hard to find answers to. Will they cover an older dog? What about a problem that is already in the vet notes? So each guide sticks to what the carriers say on their own pages.

- That is why every guide links to the carrier's own pages.
- Always check the final word on the quote form and the policy.

See every guide, grouped by topic. We are not a "best pet insurance" list.
How we research
- We read official carrier pages, sample policies, and vet school or vet reference pages.
- Each guide lists the pages it used at the bottom.
- Each guide shows when it was published. A "Last checked" date means we went back and re-read that page and its sources.
- Waits, age limits, and prices change by state and over time. Check them on the quote form.
- If we cannot check a number on a public page, we say so. We do not make up prices, star ratings, or claim stats.
If we earn a commission later, that is shown in the footer and on the disclosures page.
